A Message from Pastor Farrell

January, 2012

Matthew 19:26 – Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Dear church family and friends,

We have just completed our 2011 five-year vision goals and are celebrating God’s great work through Grace Covenant Church. Through the partnership of many, we had the privilege of seeing nearly 30,000 people accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and have been a part of extending God’s Kingdom in dynamic ways. Though we celebrate our past fruitfulness, there is still more we can do to reach people with the Gospel. As Jesus says in John 4:35– the fields are ripe unto harvest.

As the church, we have a mandate to “reach out” to the world with the hope of the Gospel message. As each of us have come to know the blessing of living in relationship with God, so we want to share this news with the lost and hurting. We are called to reach out with the good news of salvation and introduce others to the One who can bring help for their lives.

If you think about it, there was a time when someone, somewhere, reached out to you. Maybe it was a word of encouragement that made the difference. Maybe it was a Scripture they shared. Possibly they even reached out to help you at a point of need or a time of struggle. I’m sure your life is different today simply because someone reached out to you.

Now we have the opportunity to reach out to others. The REACH Project will allow you to make a difference in someone’s life through your giving. Over the next 24 months, we will be raising dollars to launch an extension campus of Grace Covenant Church in East Lincoln County, pay for a church building in Nicaragua, go global through an Internet campus and pay down our debt.

An underlying theme of our project is “Not Equal Giving but Equal Sacrifice.” This reminds us that we cannot all give the same, but we can all give sacrificially and be equal partners in the work that God has for us. This challenges us to give over and above, sacrificially, for the next two years as we see God’s plan unfold.

This is your opportunity to:

I am honored to serve as your pastor and am thankful for what a loving, committed congregation you are. Let’s partner together with God to reach out to make a difference.

Partnering in the miraculous,
Pastor Farrell
